Introduction

How this website came about and what it will be used for

Posted by Rehan on 01/05/2024

Hi there. Welcome to my personal website and blog. If you don't know me personally, my name is Rehan Fern and I am a student in Cambridge, UK. I am preparing for my A-levels currently and I am planning on going into a career in computer science.

This is just an introduction post to tell you what the blog page will be used for for the foreseeable future. I personally have a lot of ideas which I feel should be discussed but I often find that I don't have the outlet to discuss them. That is the primary goal of this blog. Thematically, this blog will have a focus on (non-political) news stories which often have a focus on science and technology. I could also discuss certain historical and cultural topics which I believe are relevant to today's world. I want to also use this page to analyse media which I am interested in. Alongside this, I will also review pieces which I believe should be discussed. I will occasionally fill you in on what is going on in my life and places I travel to, as well as certain projects I am involved in which impacted me significantly. This won't be often but I will talk about my personal experiences from time to time.

Let me tell you a bit about myself, I am currently studying Further Maths, Maths, Computer Science and Physics for my A-levels. I would like to go into a career in software engineering, and later in life I would like to pursue more creative endeavours. My favourite video games are dungeon crawlers and when it comes to competitive games, I tend to prefer MOBAs. I have loved the fantasy genre for as long as I can remember and when browsing anime, films or whatever I have a tendency to prefer fantasy stories. Some of my hobbies involve making games, writing, drawing, playing tennis and robotics.

If there is ever a topic you wish for me to discuss on here, please use the contact page for this and try to give me a good starting point to go off of in terms of research. Any help is greatly appreciated.
